I entered the mortgage industry in July/2006– just months before the Housing Crisis. When I started, I had 2 partners and part ownership in several LLC’s. In July/2011, I traded equity in some of those locations to obtain 100% ownership in Devon Mortgage (DM). DM is built on a model focused on streamlined / cost saving processes and the lowest overhead in the market. DM passes these savings to the consumer in the form of lower rates and lower costs. DM charges nothing to the consumer. Instead, DM builds their client’s electronic profile and then shops them to wholesale lenders otherwise unavailable to the client. DM is paid by the successful wholesale lender and paid as % of the loan amount– not product chosen, fees collected or interest rate– thus assuring the client captures the very best pricing in the marketplace.
